Richard Mille RM011 Romain Grosjean Lotus F1

Some time ago, I had the opportunity to try the very lightweight Richard Mille Lotus F1 RM011, and thought I should feel it.

The RM011 Lotus F1 I tried is a complete NTPT watch (bezel, strap, fader and back cover). It also comes with a rose gold strap. We talked a lot about recent carbon-based materials, which is another way of weaving Kevlar/carbon materials, which weaves in a different pattern than what you are used to seeing. This method is used in high sail competitions, such as masts.

As I said in the past, what impresses and impresses people with the RM watch is its comfort, of course thanks to its shape, but also because of its lightness.

In an industry where watches are often evaluated based on the feel of gold or platinum, this is a completely different approach when a large number of titanium alloys are used and the first nano-carbon fiber/carbon fiber watch cases are added to the collection.

NTPT carbon is the second carbon-type material used. Compared with its predecessors, it has a lot of scratch resistance.

Going back to the watch, RM011 Lotus F1 provides a very attractive color scheme without shouting gold, because it may remind you at first. Rose gold and red go well together and were rarely used in RM watches in the past. They even give people a “holiday” welcome atmosphere. In addition, the Lotus F1 logo complements the display of skeleton works, so be cautious, so it is not a brand that you don’t want to notice every time you look at the watch. This allows us to find a good high-tech atmosphere between materials, decorations and names.

The fact that the watch is mainly black makes it look a little smaller than the lighter color. Even though the size of RM011 is usually too large for my wrist, I really like to wear it.

On the side of the movement, we can explore the details of the flyback chronograph and the annual calendar from both sides. I can’t help but think this is what I like to watch, especially for this tourbillon (I also have a feeling of RM010, and even RM030 ).
