Hublot spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon
Hublot spirit with 5 days power reserve of the carbon-white Big Bang tourbillon
Billions of years ago, the universe was created from the rapid expansion of an almost infinite energy (called the “Big Bang”). In 2005, Jean-Claude Biver (Jean-Claude Biver) created a watch that opened a new era for Hublot, also known as the Big Bang. Adhering to the spirit of one of these two events, Hublot created the spirit aptly named Big Bang-a more avant-garde expression of the series, with a tonneau-shaped multilayer case that brought many complications.
Today, Hublot announced a new member of the spirit series: the carbon-white Big Bang Tourbillon Spirit with a 5-day power reserve.
This watch is on par with Hublot’s carbon rankings, alongside the tourbillon Carbon Black and Carbon Blue. Despite the overall name, the overall appearance is actually closer to white with black, rather than black with completely white. The bottom cover and bezel are made of carbon fiber, with what Hublot calls “white composite inclusions.”
From the outside, the establishment of the entire dial looks like a by-product of the replica Big Bang itself. The hour and minute hands are at the center of the three o’clock position, the tourbillon cage is at six o’clock, and the power reserve indicator is at eight o’clock-both are in opposition to the mechanical principle of the movement.
The case diameter is 42mm. As far as the shell structure is concerned, the white inclusions are made of glass microfibers, which are made as a non-woven fabric (a thermal bonding material) to increase the strength of the composite material.
The hollow dial of this watch has black and white contrasting colors with a contrasting case aesthetic. You can view the movement through the side of the dial or the sapphire display back. Both windows display the HUB6020 manufacturing movement-the hollow tourbillon, which is designed to be placed in the barrel case. As the name suggests, the watch has a power reserve of 115 hours and there is also a five-day indicator on the dial, in this case, it may help to remember how many days have passed since you didn’t wear sweatpants.
Like its predecessor, Carbon White’s Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon has a 5-day power reserve and is a timepiece with a manual winding. This watch has a white-lined rubber strap that can be replaced through the brand’s patented “one-button” system.
