new TAG Heuer Carrera 160 Montreal Limited Edition
New product release: the new TAG Heuer Carrera 160 Montreal Limited Edition
In a competitive and ruthless industry like Swiss Haute Horlogerie, the accomplishment of 160 years is an extraordinary achievement. To celebrate this achievement, Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer has continued to develop. To commemorate this milestone, one of the timepieces released by the company is the 160th anniversary special edition Carrera Montreal Limited Edition. Only 1,000 pieces of this timepiece are produced and have many functions of the modern Carrera series of watches. However, it is largely inspired by the retro Heuer Montreal chronograph. The watch also adopts the color theme of the new timepiece.
The new TAG Heuer Carrera 160 Montreal Limited Edition
The TAG Heuer Montreal was originally launched in 1972 and it was a huge leap in terms of the design of the Ya brand, as well as the era of technology. At that time, the oversized 42mm case, the dial boldly used red, blue, and yellow themes, exuding the atmosphere of the 70s. The fake men watches uses the coveted caliber 12 movement, and has a dual coaxial sub-dial layout. The date display is at 6 o’clock.
The new version for 2020 is slightly different, but not excessive. This watch shares its DNA with the aborigines and adds a modern touch to it. However, this model does not mention the word “Montreal” anywhere on the dial. Although it does embody the essence of a timepiece.
The 2020 iteration has a smoothing function, and I might add a 39mm thin case. The shell of the manuscript is 42 mm wide. The original version also has a date at 6 o’clock, while the 2020 version is no longer displayed. This is a bold move by the brand, because the modern reinterpretation of vintages is smaller in size and lacks the complexity of earlier versions, which rarely happens.
The 2020 edition of replica TAG Heuer Carrera 160 Years Montreal is absolutely dangerous. The timepiece is elegant, clean and balanced. The dial is particularly attractive. It is frosted white, with a blue ring surrounding the dial. If you look closely, you will also find a white flange showing the 60-second counter in red and blue.
The second hand of the chronograph is made of dark red paint. Great choice. The dial also shows three dark blue concentric (sky blue) subdials. The overall tone of the watch pays tribute to the original Montreal timepiece. It’s vibrant, quirky, and even a little bold.
In terms of movement, the watch is powered by the in-house manufactured movement Heuer Caliber Heuer 02. The mechanism has a vertical clutch, a cylindrical gear and last but not least a power reserve of 80 hours. Each watch has its unique limited edition number on the sapphire display on the back.
