Zenith Pilot Type 20 Rescue and Pilot Type 20 Rescue Chronograph
Earlier this year at LMVH in Dubai, Zenith put two new Hyundai models in the spotlight, putting the brand’s aviation heritage in the spotlight. The Pilot Type 20 Rescue (Ref. 03.2434.679/20.I010) and Pilot Type 20 Rescue Chronograph (Ref. 03.2434.4069/20.I010) feature 45mm brushed stainless steel cases and textured sunray grey dials. They come on a black vintage calfskin strap with a titanium pin buckle.
The Pilot Type 20 Rescue (Ref. 03.2434.679/20.I010) is inspired by the Zenith 1900s style retro aeronautical models of the Pilot Type 20 series. It is powered by the self-winding self-winding calibre Elite 679, with a large dial showing the hours, minutes and seconds.
The Pilot Type 20 Rescue Chronograph (Ref. 03.2434.4069/20.I010) is powered by an automatic column-wheel chronograph movement, El Primero 4069, which also offers a 50-hour power reserve. The watch features a central chronograph hand, a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and a small second at 9 o’clock. Hours and minutes are centrally located.
Both models have a power reserve of around 50 hours and are water resistant to 10 ATM. In addition, the domed sapphire crystal of both watches is anti-reflective treatment. The dial features rhodium-plated gold-faced hands, which, like the Arabic numerals, are coated with Super-LumiNova. Another feature of the watch is the inclusion of the Zenith Flight Instruments logo, which is engraved on the caseback of both models. These watches also feature oversized crowns typical of pilot watches.

Zenith DEFY Skyline: The stars at your fingertips
Watch maker Zenith has launched a new addition to its futuristic DEFY collection. The Zenith DEFY Skyline has an angular architectural stainless steel case with a dial reminiscent of a starry sky over a city. This watch comes in no less than three variants with blue, black or silver dials. Its 1/10 second display reminds the wearer of the ephemeral nature of time. The new movement makes this feature possible, which is also visible through the case back. The new watch comes with a one-piece stainless steel bracelet, and the included rubber strap can be replaced without tools.
Bold case based on traditional DEFY design
The futuristic look of the new DEFY Skyline is reminiscent of the octagonal shape of earlier DEFY models such as the A3642. Here, straight lines and satin stainless steel create a striking angular look. The case is 41 mm in diameter and 11.60 mm in height, perfectly in line with the trend of the times. Only the side-polished faceted bezel complements the rustic character of the satin finish. With a screw-down crown, the watch is water resistant to 100 meters, which should ensure it is suitable for everyday use. Also, on the back, the modern movement is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback.
With the DEFY watch face, the stars are at your fingertips
The blue, black or silver dial features a four-pointed star geometric pattern. This pattern is a reinterpretation of the ‘Double Z’ logo from the 1960s. Here, however, it evokes the night sky of a bustling city. Two wide, faceted hands with Super-LumiNova coating indicate the time. In addition, there are hour markers in the same style around the dial. On the subdial at 9 o’clock, a small hand makes a revolution every 10 seconds, measuring less than a second. At the same time, the display reminds the wearer of the ephemeral nature of time with its brisk movements. Zenith copy also offers a date window at 3 o’clock on the DEFY Skyline.
New movement in Zenith DEFY Skyline
The DEFY Skyline is powered by the new El Primero 3620 movement, similar to the El Primero 3600 movement in the Chronomaster Sport. Here, too, it runs at 36,000 beats per hour, or 5 Hz. This allows the movement to measure time to the tenth of a second, which also enables the function of the subdial. The watch is also equipped with automatic winding and a power reserve of approximately 60 hours. The rotor here is wound in both directions and has star trim. Last but not least, the manufacturer integrated a stop-second mechanism for accurate time setting.
Integrated steel bracelet and interchangeable strap system
All three variants of the DEFY Skyline appear on a one-piece steel bracelet with satin and beveled and polished edges. Plus, the company includes a rubber strap with a star pattern. Blue dial with blue strap, black dial with black strap, silver dial with olive green strap. With the interchangeable strap system, straps can be changed quickly without tools. discount replica watches
