The beauty and technical prowess of the Richard Mille RM 07-01

Richard Mille introduces two new styles of the RM 07-01 Women’s Watch Collection: the RM 07-01 Automatic Starry Night, featuring an extraordinary gem-set star pattern, and the RM 07-01 Automatic, featuring a sexy and alluring chain – Chain bracelet with gold and carbon TPT® arrangement.

The Carbon TPT® surface has a striking mosaic pattern and a rippling sheen. Its matte finish enhances the pleasant warmth it provides to the touch and wrist. The case and strap of the RM 07-01 Automatic Starry Night feature this high-performance material to the exclusion of all other materials. The watch’s carbon fiber TPT bracelet weighs only 29 grams. The watch features a new bezel setting, aptly named “Starry Night” in homage to the celestial body. Its silhouette is elegantly enhanced by diamonds.

In order to create the prongs for holding the gemstone, the hardness and resistance of Carbon TPT® requires a professional CNC machine equipped with a diamond bit to provide the angled lines for the setting. Hand-polished 5N red gold prongs are individually crafted and then set into many gemstone settings of varying diameters to securely hold the piece’s 181 diamonds.

The RM 07-01 Automatic combines a carbon fiber TPT® bezel and case back with a 5N red gold case. The watch features a new curb chain bracelet with handcrafted links woven together with carbon fiber TPT® and 5N red gold.

Both interpretations of the RM 07-01 are driven by an internal Calibre CRMA2 that displays hours and minutes. The skeleton automatic movement, developed exclusively for the RM 07-01, is equipped with a variable-geometry oscillating weight. The sensual lines of the tonneau-shaped case, including the details on the tonneau-shaped clasp, reflect this iconic architectural feature of Richard Mille best watches.
