Corum Golden Bridge Round 43 Art Deco

Corum has just launched two limited edition Golden Bridge watches, combining the iconic French elongated movement with 16 cables similar to a suspension bridge. The brand’s Golden Bridge series was first introduced in 1980, but it wasn’t until 2016 that vertical movement and architectural themes were used for round cases. The prototype of the linear movement first appeared in 1977. This series has always used watches as a “display cabinet” for the movement, rather than simply filling it with containers. Corum Golden Bridge’s 43rd Art Deco-style 43mm case is grade 5 titanium with black DLC treatment and polished bezel. There is no dial, because the narrow vertical movement just hangs in the center of the case, hanging at 12 and 6 o’clock respectively. The baton hour and minute hands are located in the center of the movement, leaving enough empty space to peep through the crystal. The star of the show is the hand-wound rectangular bread-shaped CO113 movement. Its slender vertical profile makes the 360-degree field of view a worthy work of art. It has 19 jewels, beats at 28,800 vph (4 Hz), and has a 40-hour power reserve. The function is limited to central hours and minutes.
