Richard Mille unveils the RM 11-03 McLaren automatic sweep chronograph

At the 88th Geneva International Motor Show, McLaren Motors and Richard Mille jointly showcased their first co-used watch, the RM 11-03 McLaren Auto Flyback Chronograph. A limited edition of 500 pieces worldwide, priced at 180,000 Swiss francs (excluding tax), the watch will be mainly available to McLaren Ultimate Series customers.

Following the announcement of the collaboration between McLaren Automotive and Richard Mille last year, McLaren Design Director Rob Melville and Richard Mille engineer Naf teamed up to create the RM 11-03 McLaren. Of course, the design of the watch is inspired by McLaren’s series of luxury sports cars and super sports cars. Its case is made of carbon fiber TPT and orange quartz TPT interwoven, so it is extremely resistant and lightweight, and has the iconic color of McLaren. Carbon TPT enhances the mechanical properties of RM 11-03 and has the ability to withstand harsh environments.

The titanium push rod mounted on the Carbon TPT case reflects the design of the McLaren 720S headlight. The frame is decorated with titanium inserts, similar in shape to the iconic McLaren F1 intake pipe, and bears the McLaren logo. The intricate grade 5 titanium crown is shaped like a McLaren lightweight wheel, and the McLaren Speedmark logo is integrated into a rubber strap specially developed for this watch.

The RM 11-03 McLaren is powered by the automatic RMAC3 movement mechanism, which was first introduced in 2016 and is equipped with an anti-flying chronograph and a 55-hour power reserve. The counter is reset to zero immediately, and the stopwatch function can be restarted quickly. Richard Mille (Richard Mille) created a base plate and bridge for McLaren RM 11-03 McLaren. The McLaren is made of PVD-treated grade 5 titanium alloy to make the gear train easy to work. The dial has an annual calendar and an oversized date, as well as a 12-hour timer and countdown counter.
