Richard Mille RM35-02 Rafael Nadal
Richard Mille and Spanish tennis ace Rafael Nadal have joined forces once again as the French Open kicks off today at Roland Garros. This year, they launched the RM 35-02, the first watch with an automatic movement in a collection they have developed together over the past six years. Richard Mille and Rafael Nadal have been partners since 2008 to explore contemporary fine watchmaking. Now, Nadal’s name graces a line of Richard Mille watches that are synonymous with innovation, lightness and shock resistance. Breitling Chronomat B01 42
I appreciate that all design is subjective. Our tastes, preferences and perceptions are discerning. The world will be a boring place…yadda…yadda. However, there’s so much to like about the brand new Breitling Chronomat B01 42 that I reject anyone who doesn’t appreciate it. It looks very nice. It is very accurate and reliable. The design is instantly intriguing through its thoughtful details and durable construction. The case is a rare utilitarian complexity. Every observable detail is very pleasing, but they all work with their component partners to create an engaging and handsome entity. It’s even hard to be hesitant about the price. For your hard-earned six-and-a-half years old, you’ve arguably…

Rafael Nadal RM 035-03 presents Richard Mille’s new Sports Mod
With the exception of Federer and Rolex, Richard Mille and Rafael Nadal have worked together longer than almost any other athlete/watchmaker partner, the difference being that Nadal wears his on the court RM. The latest watch to take full advantage of this partnership is the RM 035-03. The thing is, Rafa doesn’t actually wear the RM 035 collection on the court. That’s what RM 027 is for. Conversely, the RM 035 uses similar aesthetics and mechanical ingenuity, but with a slightly different format, and the RM 035-03 is the fourth in the sub-series, despite what you might expect from a reference. It also incorporates one of the coolest watch mechanisms…

U-Boat Capsoil Darkmoon – Rebirth of the Poor?
The U-Boat Capsoil series was officially released in November 2018. They just released the second iteration of the concept, called Darkmoon. This new line takes a more minimalist approach with a lower entry price, but looking at it, we can’t help but think of other oily timepieces—because in the watch industry, there’s nothing new under the sun or under the moon. (Watch brands love the moon, especially the dark side for some reason). “CAPSOIL goes beyond the boundaries of traditional design, combining innovative features with vintage-inspired lines. The oily liquid flows into the dial, rendering it an absolute deep black, amazingly magnifying the view of the hands, as if without…
